Rachel Tomlinson — Senior Event & Wedding Planner, Staffing and Operations Manager
Growing up, I was often found assisting my mother and grandmother with their holiday celebrations for friends and family. The word got out that I had the event planning bug, which led me to plan several college friends’ weddings and baby showers. I have been an instrumental part of the planning committee with the Buda Fire Department while working on their annual fundraiser, Fire Fest, one of the largest firefighting fundraisers in the area. Having always loved to assist friends and family with their celebrations and realizing I had a talent and passion for it, I decided to make a career out of event planning during my last year in college.
I was born and raised in small towns around Houston, but moved to Austin to attend Texas State University. I graduated May 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. While attending Texas State University, I was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and was the driving force behind the décor and design for social events and semester recruitments; thus began my passion for events.
Before joining the Leave the Details to Me team, I not only worked for a popular wedding venue in Austin, TX as a wedding and timeline coordinator and sales assistant, but I was also an assistant planner with another event planning firm in the Hill Country area.
Being part of the Leave the Details to Me team has not only helped me achieve my dreams of being a professional wedding and event planner, but I get to be a part of your wedding and event dreams every day. I love using my organizational and people skills to help brides bring the vision for their special day to life. I started as and intern at Leave the Details to Me and quickly rose to Event Assistant and have been promoted to Senior Event & Wedding Planner. I have also taken on the roll of staffing for all the assistants on our events and working on the overall operations at Leave the Details to Me. It is these leadership skills, and knowledge of the industry that I have learned working under Keri, and that I bring to each of my clients’ events. I look forward to making all of your wedding and event dreams come to life one detail at a time.
