I was born in Tucson, AZ but moved to Los Angeles, CA at a young age and have always considered that home. I began my career as an event planner as a teenager working for my father’s Association Event Management Company in LA. During this time I was able to work on events such as Kodak’s 100th Anniversary Balloon Fest attended by over one hundred thousand people in Chicago, IL and many other large scale events.  Working for my father’s firm laid the foundation for my passion for the event planning industry.

I worked for my father’s company through college and then met my future husband whose job took us Dallas where I continued doing event planning. After a short time in Dallas we relocated to Austin in 1999 and fell in love with this city, which I now consider my second home. Previously I worked for a local software company doing marketing events and then went to work for the Jewish Community Association of Austin as the Director of Hospitality & Events. In this position I managed an average of five thousand event set up’s per year for five years. I took a break while at the Jewish Community Center to have a wonderful son and be a full time mom for a while. Although the night before my son was born, I was at work decorating for someone’s wedding reception and on the phone from the hospital with my assistant to make sure the wedding went off without a hitch. Now that is dedication!

In 2006 I decided to take all my years of experience and put them to use and open my own company, Leave The Details To Me, Event and Wedding Consulting. The name to me is the true essence of what a good planner should do – handle all the details so you can relax and enjoy your event. I approach each and every event with passion, creativity and an eye for the details that make each event a memorable one. Since founding Leave The Details To Me, I took on the challenge of becoming a Certified Wedding Planner through The Wedding Planning Institute. I had such success with the course I went on to become an instructor with the institute teaching right here at Austin Community College.  It was extremely rewarding sharing my knowledge and experience with a group of up and coming wedding and event planners. Being a teacher was an incredible experience and I look forward to doing it more often.

Big or small, I still enjoy every event I am a part of and cry every time I see a bride walk down the aisle. Seeing that moment over and over again keeps me going in this industry and I strive to create the wedding of every bride’s dreams.
